Getronics will also provide end-to-end IT logistics services, allowing NXP managers to order new hardware online for delivery and installation by Getronics. The IT services provider will manage the full hardware lifecycle and start roll out for the new sites directly.
"NXP has made a clear choice to outsource as much of our IT function as possible to improve our cost efficiency and agility," explains Louis Luijten, CIO at NXP. "After Getronics' effective management of the first 2.000 workspaces it made perfect sense to sign over the management of the additional 13.000 workspaces to Getronics this year."
"It's always a compliment when our customers decide to expand their cooperation with us. We have had a positive working relationship with NXP since the start in 2007, one we hope to continue under the new contract, now also covering the rest of EMEA and the Americas and in a next step Asia Pacific," added Jos Schoemaker, Chief Operating Officer for Getronics.
